Bad Attitudes

You can hardly see anyone who cannot identify bad attitude when it is displayed on the outside via words and actions. These are manifested in various forms which include rebellion, impatience, uncooperative, discouragement, self centeredness, arrogance, independence, presumption, rudeness, apathy, wickedness, negativeness and so many others. All these are examples of bad attitudes and it is expected that every normal person especially born again children of God redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ should and must reject them. If you have read my previous post on “Attitude” you should have at the back of your mind that attitudes are inner dispositions of the heart and thoughts. These are hidden intentions which become the basic foundation for all our actions. In fact a bad attitude is a heart condition.

“A good man out of the treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh” Luke 6:45

We are the direct products of our thoughts, thoughts here now becomes our intentions which are hidden in the heart and because it is hidden there, no human can really tell or know the thoughts of another man’s heart except God alone.
Therefore attitude is known to you as person and God alone, hence it is you and God that can effect a change which must take place inwardly and not just saying that you have change with your mouth, it must manifest in your fruits which is your behavior. Jesus said “By their fruits you shall know them”

“Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God” Galatians 5:19-21.

I encourage you therefore to check your life thoroughly to see if any of these things mentioned in the verse above are there. If any is there, I encouraged you to repent of such activity and turn to Christ Jesus, He will help you to overcome and will establish you in life. This will help you to grow in all aspect of life including your spiritual life, relationship, business, educationally, socially and otherwise.
The better attitude for you now is to be humble and submit yourself to God now, accept this loving correction which is based on the word of God because on a general rule, any person who has a bad attitude will always have problem with God and humanity.
Ask God to forgive you and give you the grace to live above such attitude. Ask Him to restore back the joy of your salvation and ask Him to change you in totality. God will help you. 1 John 1:9. God bless you
